More “economically sound” decisions are required in the October federal budget

Sky News political editor Andrew Clennell says more “economically sound” decisions will be required in October’s federal budget, and Treasurer Jim Chalmers indicated over the weekend that he is prepared to make budget cuts.

“It’s fair also with inflation out of control, and the Reserve Bank is likely to raise interest rates another two percent for the rest of the year,” Clennell said.
