Heathrow Airport is the largest and busiest airport in the UK.
Hundreds of suitcases lay strewn across the floor of London’s Heathrow airport after the baggage system at Terminal 2 faced a “technical problem” on Saturday.
Frustrated passengers posted photos and videos of the chaotic sea of luggage on Twitter. Some users stated that there was a two-hour delay in collecting their luggage.

One user tweeted a video from inside the airport saying that “all baggage carousels in Terminal 2 at the airport have stopped working.”
“We had to queue for our luggage and were told security would watch it so we could get through security, and maybe our luggage could make it onto the plane with a 50-50 shot.”
As mentioned in the last episode, the chaos of travel and airports is real! Today the baggage belts stopped working at Heathrow! Cool heads prevailed! Do we still blame Trudeau? ????♂️????♂️????@ItsDeanBlundell@DBlundellNet@ryanlindley@LochlinCross#airportchaos#Heathrowpic.twitter.com/VGn6tJQiQL

The Twitter user went on to say that there was immense stress caused on all airlines and passengers, but then “out of nowhere, the seatbelts started working.”
Hello. We are very sorry that the technical issue with our baggage system caused this delay. Our partner airlines will work to deliver the baggage and we trust that your airline will provide you with an update soon. For airline contact information, visit: https://t.co/tNNHwETNKM
